Kejadian 7:23

7:23 So the Lord ¹  destroyed ²  every living thing that was on the surface of the ground, including people, animals, creatures that creep along the ground, and birds of the sky. ³  They were wiped off the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark survived. ⁴

23:6 “Listen, sir, ⁵  you are a mighty prince ⁶  among us! You may bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will refuse you his tomb to prevent you ⁷  from burying your dead.”

[23:6]  ⁵ tn Heb “Hear us, my lord.”

[23:6]  ⁶ tn Heb “prince of God.” The divine name may be used here as a means of expressing the superlative, “mighty prince.” The word for “prince” probably means “tribal chief” here. See M. H.
